Don's Bio
Bio:

How many years in radio: This is my third time back in radio in this market (I've worked on three of the four stations in the building) and I am in the double digits for time...

Family: Yes...oh...elaborate??!!?? Wife, three sons...no dog, just a mortgage!

Interests/hobbies: MUSIC...collecting, recording, playing. Music has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. That and classic cars...

Favorite Cool 105.7 artist(s): There are soooo many...Tom Petty, The Police, Queen, Foreigner, Elvis Costello, Van Halen, The Romantics, I could go on forever!

Best Cool 105.7 memory: Back a few years (THIS will show how long I have been in radio) I helped raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City with the local Jazzercise group. When I had children, I was in the situation where I needed the facility and was able to see just how the money I helped raise was used.

Why radio?: My love of music started before I was in school. I wanted to put my  love of music with my passion for people together, so radio seemed the way to go.

Why you like the Cedar Valley/Iowa: I was born and raised here and people are pretty down to earth and pleasing to be around...that's why I like my job! I get to not only live among you, but meet many of you BECAUSE of my job.

If you weren't in radio, what would you do?: I would LOVE to own a music store...selling CD's, tapes and used vinyl but also musical instruments as well! Guitars, amps, drums, sound gear...the whole thing!

How do you relieve stress?: Wait...you can RELIEVE stress??!?

Where would you go if money was no object?: I think it would be the panhandle of Florida...people are similar to us here in Iowa, the beaches are sugary white and that is cool...or maybe I'd go to a small island in the Bahamas...

Any parting words?: Music is the universal language...and I love speaking in many tongues to the listeners of Cool 105.7.
